President Barak Obama announced his plan to issue an executive order requiring
federal service and construction contractors to increase wages to $10.10 per
hour for any employee earning below that amount. President Obama hopes that by
raising the minimum wage for federal government contractors, Congress will in
turn enact litigation raising the minimum wage for all workers under the FLSA.
